SB 577 -- CONVEYANCE OF PROPERTY IN BUCHANAN COUNTY

SPONSOR:  Shields (Schaaf)

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on
Local Government by a vote of 16 to 0.

This bill authorizes the Governor to convey an easement in the
form of a right-of-way in the City of St. Joseph.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that the bill allows the City of St.
Joseph to add a left-turn lane, which will increase safety in
this area.

Testifying for the bill was Senator Shields.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
